On the Definition of Ideological and Political Quality

Jiang Zemin once pointed out: Ideological and political education should be given enough emphasis in schools at different levels and of various types and the importance can never be weakened. As for quality,ideological and political quality is the most important.Ideological and political quality is the core concept of the whole system of ideological and political education.Therefore,to make clear the connation of ideological and political quality is not only the basic task in constructing the theoretical system of ideological and political education,but provides a legal base for strengthening ideological and political education. Based on the discussion of the relationships between several concepts such as quality,ideology,politics and ideological and political quality as well,the present paper gives a definition of ideological and political quality in combination with different definitions known in the academic circle. The definition goes as the collection of a person's stable psychological characteristics,ideological perception,morality and political accomplishments that are formed under the influence of a specific circumstance and education.
