A new concept of the object of study for Ideological and Political Education

The object of study of Ideological and Political Education is a principal problem in the study of basic theory on this subject. The author holds the view that the existing knowledge on the object of study is either too general or too narrow. Supported by the practice of Ideological and Political Education,the author advances a new concept that the object of study of Ideological and Political Education is people's ideological values. The author thinks the new concept conforms to the practice of Ideological and Political Education and makes the scope of the object of study more definite. The new concept can reflect the rigor of the theory and embody the political feature of Ideological and Political Education. Furthermore, the author reflects on the content of Ideological and Political Education and the law of the education process centered on ideological values.
