Abstract

Objective:To study the anti-tumor activities and immunomodulatory effect of polysaccharide compound (PSC) extracted from traditional Chinese medicine both in vivo and in vitro. Methods:PSC was administered intragastrically to mice with transplanted tumor ( H22). The influence on tumor growth in vivo and the immunity indicators of WBC,spleen index, the proliferation of T lymphocyte,B lymphocyte were tested. The cytotoxicity of PSC for Hela cells was measured by MTT assay in vitro. Results:PSC showed the anti-tumor functions for H22 tumor mice, the number of WBC and spleen index were significantly increased ( The best was the middle dose ). Meanwhile PSC could markedly improve T lymphocyte,B lymphocyte proliferation and inhibit the proliferation of Hela cell in vitro. Conclusion:PSC could inhibit the growth of tumor in vivo and in vitro, and has the function of immune regulation.
