Abstract
Objective To study the inhibitory effect of bacailin on tumor cells and its influence on telomerse activity in Eca-109.Methods The inhibitory effect of bacailin on the proliferation of three kinds of human tumor cells was assayed by MTT method.Transplant tumor models of S 180 and H22 were used. After transplantation the inhibitory rates were calculated. Results Bacailin 20~100 μgml inhibited the proliferation of three kinds of tumor cells in vitro in a dose-dependent manner(P 0.01).The inhibitory rates of bacailin(5,10,20 mgkg IP) in vivo were 29.9%~71.5% and 35.1%~80.6% in tumor-bearing mice with S 180 and H22,respectively.Conclusion Bacailin could inhibit the proliferation of three kinds of tumor cells in vitro and presents antitumor effect on the tumor-bearing mice in vivo.Bacailin can effectively inhibit telomerse activity of tumer cells.
