Methods for Developing Water Quality Standards of Drinking Water Source

The international methods and procedures for developing water quality standards of drinking water source as well as the principles for selecting assessment items of source water quality and determining their standard values were introduced.The problems existing in the source water quality assessment in China were analyzed.It was suggested that the source water quality standards of typical drinking water source should be studied firstly,and the source water quality standards based on Chinese special domestic needs and characteristics can be established with great feasibility.
