Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical application of ultrasound-guided vacuum-assisted biopsy (mammotome) in breast benign lesions.Methods The operations and biopsy of 115 breast lesions in 86 patients were performed by ultrasound-guided vacuum-assisted biopsy (mammotome).Results All of breast masses were resected completely.The operative time was 20±10 min.The length of incision was only 0.25-0.4cm.Five cases were with local congestion,1 case with haematoma under incision.No infection was found.Conclusion Mammotome operation shows many benefits as less trauma ,fewer complications and more rapid recovery with scar-free breast skin,It is a useful minimally invasive treatment of breast benign lesions.
