Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical application of ultrasound guided Mammotome minimally invasive biopsy system in resection of benign breast lump. Methods The biopsy and excision for 296 breast lesions in 98 pauients were performed by ultrasound guided Mammotome system. Results All of the breast masses were resected safely and completely. The incisions were 0.2~0.3 cm in length, each mass was completely resected in average 20 times attempt and the mean operative time was 25 minutes. No active bleeding, subcutaneous congestion or infection occurred. Conclusion Mammotome minimally invasive biopsy system is a recommendable technique for breast benign mass, concluded from its simply maneuver, accurate localization, and minimal invasion.
