Effect observation of amiodarone combined with metoprolol in the treatment of systolic heart failure and arrhythmia

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of amiodarone combined with metoprolol in the treatment of systolic heart failure and arrhythmia.Methods 34 patients with systolic heart failure and arrhythmia admitted and treated in our hospital from March 2010 to February 2013 were selected and randomly assigned to two groups,each group of 17 cases. Amiodarone was used in control group,amiodarone combined with metoprolol were used in observation group.Clinical efficacy,left ventricular ejection fraction,heart rate and incidence rate of adverse reaction was compared in two goups respectively.Results Total effective rate of observation group and control group was 94.12% and 82.35% respectively,with statistical difference(P0.05).After treatment,left ventricular ejection fraction of observation group was higher than that of control group,heart rate of observation group was slower than that of control group,with statistical difference(P0.05). Incidence rate of adverse reaction in observation group and control group was 5.88% and 17.65% respectively,with statistical difference(P0.05).Conclusion Amiodarone combined with metoprolol in the treatment of systolic heart failure and arrhythmia has good efficacy and safety,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
