The Clinical Observation of the Treatment of Tachyarrhythmia by Combined Use of Amiodarone and Metoprolol

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of amiodarone combined with metoprolol in the treatment of arrhythmia.Methods From April 2010 to April 2012,two groups of patients with tachyarrhythmia were randomly selected from our hospital and divided into two groups.The test group of 42 patients was treated with amiodarone combined with metoprolol,while the control group of 40 patients was treated with amiodarone only.Then we made continuous observation and comparison between these two groups of patients on the aspect of cardiac rehabilitation rate,rhythm of the heart and the drug effect duration before and after the treatment.Results As to the test group,the recovery rate was 92.24%,much higher than that of 82.50% in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant and comparable(P0.05).In the test group,compared with the control group,the blood pressure and heart rate of patients were improved.Adverse reactions of the two groups were slight,with no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion The amiodarone combined with metoprolol could effectively treat tachyarrhythmia by increasing the cardiac rehabilitation rate,alleviating the symptoms of patients,and shortening the treatment time as well.In addition,it was safe and reliable,worthy of clinical application and promotion.
