Abstract
Objective:To discuss the reversal role of levamlodipine on carotid artery intima-media thickness(IMT) in patients with essential hypertension.Method:Seventy-six patients with essential hypertension were randomly divided into test and control groups. Control group conventionally used diuretics and captopril, the control group based on the control group, the test group was added to use 7.5 mg levamlodipine ereryday for 8 weeks. The differences were observed between two groups in carotid artery IMT, blood pressure, fasting serum triglyceride total cholesterol. high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol.Result:After eight weeks of therapy test group significantly decreased carotid artery IMT sysedic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. There were significant differences between pre-treatment and after treatment, also significant differences between test group and concrol group. There were no significant differences in lipid parameters. Conclusion:Levamlodipine can decruse blood pressure well, and reversal carotid artery intima-media thickness of patients with essential hypertension.
