Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of Levamlodipine Bsylate and Rosuvastatin Calcium on carotid artery intima media thickness(IMT) in patients with essential hypertension Methods 80 patinets with essential hypertension complicated with carotid arteriosclerosis were randomly divided into control group(40 cases) and experimental group(40 cases).Patients in control group were treated with Levamlodipine Bsylate 2.5 mg qd,and the dosage was added to 5 mg qd if the blood pressure was above 140/90 mm Hg after 2 weeks treatment.Patients in the experimental group were given Rosuvastatin Calcium 10 mg qn for 48weeks.The IMT of carotid artery, blood pressure, levels of TC,TG,LDL C,HDL C,hs CRP were monitored before and after treatment,Results The IMT and blood pressure decreased obviously in two groups 48 weeks after treatment(P0.05)and IMT decreased significantly in experimental group compared with that of control group(P0.05) Level of TG,TC,LDL C and hs CRP decreased, and HDL C increased significantly in experimental group than those in control group and before treament(P0.05) Conclusion Combined application of Levamlodipine Besylate and Rosuvastatin Calcium has significant effect on IMT of carotid in patients with essental hypertension and it can delay the progression of essential hypertension.
