Abstract

Liang Qichao and Yuan Shikai were crucial figures on Chinese modem history. The relations between them caused great influences on the political reforms between the end of Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China. During the period of Wu Xu political reform, the reform style readily believed Yuan Shi Kai, and was rebelled by Yuan. They became enimies . At the beginning of the Republic of China, because of many kinds of reasons, Liang decided to relinquish unhappiness before and reunite. Yuan also needed Liang to deal with revolutionary style. Through the cooperation of short few years, Liang discovered Yuan repelled others, expanded his ambitions, did not comply with constitutions, and last departed with Yuan. Yuan died in despair. Their relations came to an end since then. Intensive changes of their relations were greatly related to the situation of that times and the thoughts of Liang.
