Abstract
Liang Qichao and Yuan Shikai were very important figures in Chinese modern history.The changes of the relations between them were greatly related to the significant events of Chinese modern history.During the period of Wu Xu political reform,at the beginning of the Republic of China as well as the period of protectorate campaign,their relations were very closed.They were in contact with each other frequently,sometimes they became reconciled.However.theri relations changed unusually.These relations caused great influences on the Chinese political situation.The changes of their relations not only indicated the conflicts and struggles of Liang Qichao,idea of constitutionalism and Yuan Shikai,idea of monarchy,but also indicated complications of the course of Chinese modern history.
