Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of Atorvastatin and Methycobal for diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Methods 120 patietns with diabetic peripheral neuropathy were divided into the control group (treated with methycobal) and the study group (treated by atorvastatin and methycobal). The clinical effect, blood fat and nerve conduction velocity were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the levels of TG, TC and LDL in the study group were significantly lower than that in the control group (P0.01); the total effective rate were 92.2% and 83.9%, respectively, in the two groups, with statistically significant difference (P0.05); Nerve conduction velocity of common peroneal nerve and median nerve in the study group were superior to that in the control group (P0.05). Conclusion For patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, Atorvastatin and Methycobal can improve clinical symptoms and nerve conduction velocity.
