Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effect of Lipoprostaglandin E1(Lipo PGE1) combined with actovigen and methycobal on diabetic peripheral neuropathy.Methods:72 patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy were randomly divided into treatment group(40 cases) and control group(32cases).Actovigen 800 mg and methycobal 500μg were administered for 4 weeks in the control group. In the treatment group,Lipo PGE1 was administered at the dose of 10μg/d besides actovigen and methycobal. Results:After the treatment, the efficacy rates were 75% for the patients in the control group, and the efficacy rates were 90% in the treatment group. The significance increases were observed in motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity of the peripheral nerves after the treatment(P0.05).There was a significant difference of motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity of the peripheral nerves between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion:Lipo PGE1 is an effective drug for the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
