Abstract
The aseptic plantlets of Anoectochilus formosanus were used as material in this paper. The optimum media for proliferation and rooting were screened while the terminal buds and stem with axillary of A. formosanus were inoculated onto medium with different kind and concentration of hormones and additives. The results showed that the medium of MS + 6-BA 3 mg /L + NAA 0. 6 mg /L + Zeatin( ZT)0. 8 mg /L + banana 100 g /L was most suitable for proliferation of A. formosanus, and that the rate of proliferation for terminal buds and axillary buds was 3. 85 and 3. 07 respectively. The medium of MS +NAA 0. 5 mg /L + IBA 0. 5 mg /L was most suitable for rooting of A. formosanus, and the rate of rooting reached 80%.
