The effect observation of montelukast sodium in treatment of children with bronchial asthma

Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of montelukast sodium in treatment of children with bronchial asthma.Methods 80 cases patients of children with bronchial asthma were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,each of 40 cases.Control group were given conventional treatment of inhaled corticosteroids;On the basis of control group,treatment group were given montelukast sodium.Observed the cough relief and disappear time and clinical effect of two groups.Results The total effective rate of the treatment group(97.5%) was higher than that of the control group(85.0%),the difference was statistically significant(P0.05);Cough relief and disappeared cough time of the treatment group was significantly shorter than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion On the basis of inhaled glucocorticoid,montelukast sodium in treatment of bronchial asthma in children has a significant effect,is worthy of clinical application.
