The Cause and Mitigation of Bullwhip Effect in Supply Chain

By strengthening information sharing, the bullwhip effect in supply chain will be mitigated, which is the key to achieving the goal of supply chain management. Based on the forming process and cause of the bullwhip effect, this paper argues that information sharing is the effective approach to mitigating the bullwhip effect, then constructs an information sharing system based on Internet, and finally gives a brief account of this system.
