Abstract
Objective: To explore the extraction and content determination of polysaccharide in the Mongolian medicine Terminalia chebula Retz. Methods: Phenol-sulfuric acid method and UV-PDA spectrophotometer were used to determine content of polysaccharide in Terminalia chebula Retz. With glucose as standard substance. Results: By the methodology study, polysaccharide had a linear relation within the scope of 3.212 to 19.27μg /mL,the regression equation was Y = 0.0432X + 0.0146(r= 0.9996,n = 6),the content was 15.56%,the average recovery was 100.4%,RSD = 1.60%.Conclusion: UV-Vis spectrophotometry is simple, rapid, sensitive, accurate and reliable, which can be used to determine polysaccharide in Mongolian medicine Terminalia chebula Retz.
