Abstract
The HPLC method was established for determination of gallic acid in the fruits, pulps and kernels of Terminalia chebula Retz..An Agilent C18column(4.6 × 250 mm,5 μm) was used, the mobile phase was methanol-0.1% phosphoric acid(2.5∶97.5),the detection wavelength was 273 nm,the column temperatuer was 30℃ and the flow rate was 1.0 mL·min-1.Gallic acid showed a good linear relationship in the range of was 0.117 6 ~ 1.294 μg(r = 0.9998),the average recovery was 99.2%,and RSD = 1.3%(n = 6).The content of gallic acid in pulps was the highest and it in kernels was the lowest. The method can be used for the determination of gallic acid in Terminalia chebula Retz.
