The Clinical Observation of Atorvastatin to Cure Hyperlipidemia

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To observe the clinical effect of atorvastatin to cure hyperlipidemia.METHODS 46 patients with hyperlipidemia were treated with atorvastatin at the dose of 10 mg daily for three months.To observe blood lipid and liver function and kidney function before the treatment and after the treatment of three months.To observe its side effect of muscle-ache and allergic reaction etc.RESULTS After the treatment of three months,serum cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low density liporotein cholesterol(LDL-C)were reduced,the difference was significant(P0.01).The levels of high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)was raised up.The difference was also significant(P0.05).The total efficiency rate of TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C was 82.61%,67.57%,79.49%,64.29%.There were little side effects.CONCLUSION Atorvastatin is safe and effective in treatment of hyperlipidemia.
