Abstract
Objective:To investigate the efficacy and adverse reactions of atorvastatin and simvastatin in treatment of hyperlipidemia.Methods:80 cases of hyperlipidemia were randomly divided into A and B groups.Based on the conventional low-fat diet,A group was treated with atorvastatin 20 mg,B group was treated with simvastatin 20mg,both once daily for 8 weeks. In two groups before and after treatment, the changes of serum total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),alanine amino-transferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),creatine kinase(CK)were investi-gated.Results:Comparing after 8-week medication with those before treatment,TC,TG,LDL-C were significantly decreased in both two groups(P 0.01),HDL-C were significantly increased(P0.05),but the A group was more prominent. Conclusion:Atorvastatin and sim-vastatin are effective and safe lipid-lowering drugs, but atorvastatin cholesterol-lowering effect is more noticeable.
