Taohongsiwu decoction in treating vertebrobasilar artery blood supply shortage vertebrobasilar vertigo 73 cases

Objective To explore the effective methods on the treatment of vertebrobasilar artery blood supply shortage vertebrobasilar(VBI) vertigo insufficiency.Methods Totally 76 patients were randomly divided into two groups: 38 patients of treatment group were treated with Taohongsiwu decoction,38 patients of control group were treated with routine therapy of western medicine,both were observed as a course of 14d.Results The total effective rate in treatment group is 92.1%,the total effective rate in control group is 71.1%,treatment group was remarkable superior to control group(P0.05).Before and after treatment of the two groups,comparing the results of vertebrobasilar artery blood flow velocity,two groups' vertebrobasilar artery blood flow velocity increased,yet treatment group increased more significantly(P0.05).Conclusions Taohongsiwu decoction in treating vertebrobasilar artery blood supply shortage vertebrobasilar vertigo insufficiency is more effective.
