Combined Chinese and Western Medicine for Vertebrobasilar Ischemia Vertigo in 37 Cases

To observe the therapeutic efficacy of combined Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of vertebrobasilar ischemia vertigo,67 cases were randomized into treatment group in which 37 cases were treated by the Chinese medicines,Nimoldipine and hyperbaric oxygen,and control group in which 30 cases were treated by Nimoldipine.They were both treated for 20 days.The blood rheology,end systolic maximal speed of vertebrobasilar artery and pulsating index were observed.Results:The total effective rate was 89 19% in treatment group and 66 67% in control group,P0 05;the vertigo,brain blood flow and blood viscosity were improved more in treatment group than in control group,P0 01.
