Observation on the effects of gamma globulin combined with dexamethasone in children with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura

OBJECTIVE To study the effects of gamma globulin combined with dexamethasone in children with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.METHODS 80 children with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura in our hospital from January 2009 to January 2011 were selected as research subjects,and they were randomly divided into control group(dexamethasone group)40 cases and observation group(gamma globulin combined with dexamethasone group)40 cases,then the total effective rate,incidence of adverse reactions and peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets,serum IL-6,TNF-α and IL-18 before and after the treatment of two groups were analyzed and compared.RESULTS The total effective rate of observation group was higher than that of control group,CD3+,CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ were higher than those of control group,CD8+,IL-6,TNF-αand IL-18 were lower than those of control group,P﹤0.05 or P﹤0.01,there were significant differences,but incidence of adverse reactions did not have significant differences,P﹥0.05.CONCLUSION The gamma globulin combined with dexamethasone has a significant curative effect in children with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura,it can regulate the immune status,and the advantage is obvious.
