Abstract
With butyl acrylate(BA) and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate(2-EHA) as soft monomers,vinyl acetate(VAc) as hard monomer and acrylic acid(AA) as functional monomer,so a vinyl acetate-acrylate emulsion adhesive with excellent performance for paper-plastic laminating was prepared by seeding pre-emulsion polymerization.The influences of monomer choice,monomers ratio of soft to hard,initiator content,emulsifier contents,functional monomer contents and other factors were emphatically discussed on emulsion performance.The research results showed that the emulsion had well bonding performances for paper-plastic laminating when mass ratio of soft monomer to hard monomer was between 45:50 and 50:45,mass fractions of initiator,emulsifier and functional monomer were 0.6% about,3.0% and 6% respectively.
