Abstract
The acrylic paper-plastic laminating adhesive emulsions were prepared by pre-emulsified semicontinuous emulsion polymerization with butyl acrylate( BA) as soft monomer,methyl methacrylate( MMA)as hard monomer,and acrylic acid( AA) as functional monomer. Effects of hard and soft monomer ratio,the type and amount of emulsifier, initiator dosage and amount of functional monomer on the emulsion properties were investigated. The results showed that the mass ratio of BA:MMA:AA was 80:19:1, the amount of initiator was 0. 7% based on total monomer weight,the emulsifier mass ratio of SDS:OP-10 was1:2. 5,the amount of emulsifier was 3. 5% based on total monomer weight, the emulsion polymerization process was stable and high yield,the prepared emulsion was with small particle size,low viscosity,good stability,and the paper and plastic peel strength can be reached 40. 4 k N / m.
