Abstract
Objective To analyze the drug use and problems of outpatient prescription in our hospital, in order to improve the level of rational drug use and improve promote rational drug use in clinic. Methods Twelve thousand prescriptions from January to December 2011 were randomly extracted and retrospective analyzed from outpatient pharmacy of our hospital, and the irrational prescriptions were reviewed. Results Of all the prescriptions reviewed, there was 4.85% (582/12 000) of prescriptions were found to be irrational. The incidence of inappropriate dosage, clinical diagnosis of write failure and improper drug combined with were high, which accounted for irrational prescription of 28.01%, 26.12%, 10.14%. Conclusion It is still have some problems of drug use in outpatient pharmacy of our hospital. Therefore, standardize the prescription management should be done to improve the quality of prescription, promoting rational drug use to guarantee medical safety.
