Analysis of irrational prescriptions in outpatient department

Objective:To analyze the irrational drug use in the outpatient of our hospital and promote rational drug use in clinc.Methods:10 281 Prescriptions between 2008 and 2009 were randomly extracted from outpatient department of our hospital for statistical analysis,and irrational prescriptions were reviewed.Results:Of all the prescriptions reviewed,5.2%(532/10 281) prescriptions were found to be irrational.Conclusion:The drug use in outpatient department of our hospital is rational,yet it is far from prefect.Therefore,it is important for clinicians and pharmacists to do their best to promote clinical ration use of drug.
