Abstract
Objective To study the value of combined detection of serum CEA CA199 and CA125 in diagnosis, and to monitor patient′s condition and therapeutic effectiveness in patient with lung cancer. Methods Serum levels of CEA CA199 and CA125 were measured by eletrochemiluminescence assay in 30 healthy adults and 45 patients with lung cancer, after treatment. The levels of the three kinds of tumor marker in lung cancer were compared with those before treatment. Results. The levels of three kinds of tumor marker in the lung cancer group were obviously higher than those in the control group(P0.01). The serum levels of three kinds of tumor marker in patient with lung cancer were significantly decreased after the treatment(P0.01). Both sensitivity and specificity of detection improved when the combined detection of CEA CA199 and CA125 was used (P0.05). Conclusion The combined detection of CEA CA199 and CA125 can significantly improve the sensitivity and specificity of lung cancer and also has a notable value in observing therapeutic effectiveness of lung cancer.
