Abstract

ObjectiveTo study the value of combined detection of serum CEA,CA199 and CA724 in diagnosis, monitoring patient's condition and therapeutic effectiveness in patient with gastric cancer.MethodsSerum levels of CEA,CA199 and CA724 were measured by electrochemiluminescence assay in 30 healthy adults, forty patients with benign gastrosia and 60 patients with gastric cancer. After treatment, the levels of the three kinds of tumor marker in patient with gastric cancer were compared with those before treatment. Results The levels of three kinds of tumor marker in gastric cancer group were obviously higher than those in control group and benign gastrosia group(P0.01). The serum levels of three kinds of tumor marker in patient with gastric cancer were significantly decreased after treatment (P0.01).Both sensitivity and specificity of detection were improved when the combined detection of CEA,CA199 and CA724(P0.05)was used.ConclusionThe combined detection of CEA,CA199 and CA724 can significantly improve the sensitivity and specificity of diagnosis of gastric cancer and also has a notable value in observing therapeutic effectiveness of gastric cancer.
