Origin and Development of Ancient Chinese Education of the Zhuang Nationality

Ancient Chinese education of the Zhuang nationality can be traced back to the pre_Qin period.It developed in the forms of the Imperial College in the Han Dynasty,government_run schools in the Southern,Northern,and the Sui Dynasties,government_run schools and old_style private schools in the Tang Dynasty,as well as academies of classic learning,government_run schools,old_style private schools,community_run schools,free schools and schools run by local headmen in the Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties.Throughout the whole history of education,through learning Chinese characters and Confucian classics,a huge number of scholars and men of letters of the Zhuang was cultivated,which raised the Chinese level of the whole Zhuang nationality and established an orthodox position of the Chinese language in the Zhuang character writing system.
