Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression and significance of HIF-lαand vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in endometrial carcinoma. Methods Used immunohistochemical SP method to examine the expressions of HIF-1α and VEGF in normal endometrium, atypical endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial carcinoma. Results The positive expression rate of HIF-lα(73.21%,25.64%,4.88%) and VEGF(78.51%,30.77%,7.32%) were Significant difference in endometrial carcinoma, atypical endometrial hyperplasia and in normal endometrium(P0.05).The expression of HIF-1 was associated with VEGF.There was correlated relationship between HIF-lαexpression and invasion of myometrium, lymph node metastasis and surgical-pathologic staging, there was increase of VEGF positive rate with the increase of histological grade. Conclusion The overexpression of HIF-lαand VEGF may play an important role in carcinogenesis of endometrial carcinoma, and was correlated relationship to advance of the tumor.
