Abstract
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of short-term intensive insulin treatment on newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Methods For the newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients,Oral Antidiabetics and short-term intensive insulin treatment separately.Therapeutic effects were compared between two groups the therapeutic effect, fasting plasma glucose(FPG),postprandial 2 hours plasma glucose(2hPG),hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c),fasting insulin(FINS),insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR),and insulin resistance index(HOMA-β)were observed before and after treatment. Results After treatment, the level of FPG、2hPG、HbA1c、FINS、C-P、HOMA-IR、HOMA-βwere all improved(P0.05),and there was significant difference between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Short-term intensive insulin treatment on newly diagnosed type 2 is helpful to controlling blood glucose and islet function.
