Abstract
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effects of combined phacoemulsification and trabeculectomy surgery with intraocular lens implantation on treatment of glaucoma patients with cataract. Methods 35 cases(52 eyes)primary open-angle or primary angle-closure ghaucoma patients with cataract were assigned to undergo combined surgery.Best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),intraocular pressure(IOP)and postoperative filtering bleb formation were analyzed. Results The postoperative BCVA were≥0.3 in 41 eyes(78.85%).It was obviously more than that before the surgery, which were in 3 eyes(5.77%).After 6 months of following-up,the mean postoperative IOP was(14.71±4.01)mmHg.The function bleb was formed in 47 eyes(90.38%).No serious postoperative complications occurred. Conclusion Phacoemulsification combined with trabeculectomy can be a safe, effective and smooth therapeutic operation for glaucoma patients with cataract.
