To Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Sertraline Combined With Quetiapine in Treatment of Obsessive-compulsive Disorder

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of sertraline combining with quetiapine in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD). Methods 97 patients with OCD, who were enrolled in our hospital, 48 cases in observation group, 49 cases in the control group. The control group were treated only with sertraline, the observation group treated combinately with sertraline and quetiapine. Results The effectual rate in the observation group was 70.9%, significantly higher than the control group(50.1%). Y-BOCS and HAMA score were decreased significantly after treatment in both group(P0.05). Y-BOCS and HAMA score decreased more significantly in the observation group. Conclusion Sertraline combined with quetiapine in the treatment of OCD, can significantly improve the compulsive and anxiety symptoms, but with high frequency of the side-reactions. Sertraline combined with quetiapine is a safe and valuable strategy in the treatment of OCD.
