Influence of Nursing Intervention on Patients with Radical Mastectomy

Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention on the quality of life of patients with radical mastectomy.Methods 54 patients with radical mastectomy in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups, with 27 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, including health education and medication guidance. The observation group received nursing intervention including cognitive, behavioral and psychological interventions on the basis of routine nursing. The quality of life was evaluated by daily quality of life survey scale after 6 months and compared between two groups. Results Six months after nursing intervention, the score of quality of life in two groups was higher than that before nursing intervention, but the observation group increased more significantly(P 0.01), and the difference between two groups was statistically significant(P 0.05). Conclusions Nursing intervention can effectively improve physical and mental state and quality of life of patients with breast cancer.
