Abstract
Objective To evaluate the safety and clinical efficacy of minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy(MPCNL) in treating pediatric upper urinary tract calculi.Methods Seven cases with pediatric upper urinary tract calculi underwent mini-mally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy from September to October 2008.One case combined with mild hydrone Phrosis,moderate hydronephrosis two cases,severe hydronephrosis four cases.Results All cases were acheieved by one-stage MPCNL.16F single tract was used for all cases.Only one side of the small kidney calculi was remained.No major complications occurred in these cases.Conclusions Minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy is safe and effective in treating pediatric upper urinary tract stones with less trauma and shorter convalescence.
