Abstract
Objective:To investigate the safety and efficacy of TURP therapy for patients at high risk.Methods:From Jan,2003 to Dec 2005,196 patients with BPH at high risk underwent transurethral resection of prostate(TURP).Of which, 187 cases were follwed up for 3-14 months.Results:All cases resumed up after TURP,IPSS decreased from 20.4±7.8 to 9.5±5.2, QOL inclined from 5.3±1.2 to 3.2±0.6,MFR increased from 9.5±1.1 to 15.6±2.1(P0.05).Conclusions:TURP has advantages of minal invasion,safety, good efficacy and less complications and it fits for the treatment of high risk patients.
