Abstract
Objective:To investigate the safety and efficacy of TURP therapy for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)at high risk.Method:Thirty patients with BPH at high risk underwent transurethral resection of prostate(TURP)and they were followed up for 3~10 months after operation.Result:One patient died of multisystem and organ failure(MSOF),the others resumed up after TURP.IPSS decreased significantly and MFR increased significantly compared before TURP(P0.05).Conclusion:TURP has advantages of minor invasion, safety, good efficacy and less complications and it fits for the treatment of high risk patients with BPH.
