Abstract
Genetic relationship of nine species in Rhododendron was studied using inter-simple sequence repeat(ISSR) marker.Thirteen primers were screened out from 100 random primers and a total of 576 DNA fragments were amplified ranging from 300-2 000 bp.The average number of DNA fragments produced by each primer was 44.31.Nei'S genetic distances were calculated by using DPS software and the dendrogram were constructed by using UPGMA.The nine Rhododendron species were divided into three groups: R.micranthum and R.aureum were clustered into one group;R.mucronulatum f.ciliatum,R.dauricum and R.mucronulatum were clustered into the second group, which was in consistence with the morphological classification.R.schlippenbachii,R.hongfeng,R.yedoehse huangyang, and R.yedoehse were clustered into the third group.
