Competitive edge of industrial manufacturing industry in Guangdong Province

The purpose of this paper is to find out the characteristics of the competitive edge of industrial manufacturing industry in Guangdong Province and offer some references for the local government and enterprises to promote their competitiveness.Through analysis of current situation and developing orbit of industrial manufacturing industry in Guangdong by regional quotient,the following conclusions are drawn: (1)The industrial manufacturing industry in Guangdong Province is generally strong in competitiveness in the whole country.(2)The competitiveness of the technology-intensive industry in Guangdong is strong but not increasing all the time.(3)The competitiveness of labour-intensive industry in the whole country is weak and demonstrates the trend of decreasing step by step.(4)The resource-intensive industry does not have competitiveness and tends to decline,whereas very few trades in the capital-intensive industry are promising to develop into a mainstay industry in Guangdong Province.
