Abstract
Objective To discuss the surgical technique and efficacy of Sublay tension-free herniorrhaphy for incisional hernias. Methods Analysis the clinical data including 21 cases of abdominal wall incisional hernia, treated by the Sublay tension-free herniorrhaphy during the last 6 years retrospectively. Results All patients were cured without severe complications and there were no death cases. The follow-up duration ranged from 5 to 60 months. The most common complications were postoprative chronic pain(24 %),feeling of foreign body(14 %),hernia recurrence(5 %),and local swell in the area of hernia repair(14 %).Conclusions Sublay tension-free hernia repair could be one of the most safe and effective procedure for incisional hernia, with the advantages of better recovery, lower recurrence rate and less effect of abdominal visceras.
