Abstract
Objective:To study the relation of MMP-9,uPA,CD34 invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer and their relationship. Methods:Immunohistochemistry was used to examine the expression of MMP-9,uPA,CD34 proteins in gastric carcinoma(n=216) and normal gastric mucosa(n = 60).Results:MMP-9 and uPA were high expressed in gastric cancer and with the decrease of differentiation, lymphatic metastasis, increase of clinical stage, the expression is increased(P0.05).CD34 was highly expressed in gastric cancer and with the decrease of differentiation, long distance metastasis, increase of clinical stage, the expression increases(P0.05).In gastric cancer MMP-9 and CD34 expression was positively related,(P0.01);uPA and CD34 expression was positively related,(P0.01).Conclusion:MMP-9,uPA and CD34 have very important promoting effect during gastric cancer occurring, developing, invasion and metastasis.MMP-9,uPA and CD34 have coordinate action and promote each other during gastric cancer occurring, developing, invasion and metastasis.MMP-9,uPA and CD34 all can be regarded as indexes for gastric cancer diagnosis and prognosis evaluation.CD34 also can be regarded as a effective mark to gastric cancer MVD and the three genes may give a new target for gastric cancer treatment.
