Abstract
ObjectiveTo evaluate the effects of Chinese herbal compound Zhiganning on fatty liver induced by high fat diet and alcohol in rats, and determine the possible mechanism. MethodsRat models of fatty liver were induced by high fat diet and alcohol. To compare the lipotropic effects of Zhiganning, Lescol, UDCA and Qiangganxiaozhi solution ,the histological changes in liver, malondialdehyde (MDA) and glutathione (GSH) in serum and liver were abserved. ResultsThe contents of MDA(both in serum and liver) in group of large dose Zhiganning solution were significantly lower than in model group, while the contents of GSH (in serum and liver)were significantly higher than that in model group (P 0.05 ).ConclusionZhiganning can prevent liver cell from lipid peroxidation injury.
