Abstract
A new bread wheat line possessing high-molecular-weight gluenin subunits (HMW-GS)1 and 14+15 was developed by interspecific cross(A CHUN4×YILIPUAI).The SDS-PAGE analysis demonstrated that this new germplasm possessing HMW-GS 1 and 14+15 at Glu-A1 and Glu-B1 locus respectively. At Glu-A1 locus, the frequency of subunit 1 (80%) was the highest. At Glu-B1 locus, the frequencies of subunits. 14+15 (53%)and 7+8 (20.5%) were relatively high. Variations of HMW-GS at Glu-D1 were the most abundant, among which the frequency of subunits 5+10 (20.5%), which were regarded as the highest quality subunits, was the highest. The frequency of subunits 5+12 (2%) was the quality subunits. It is a very important value for wheat quality breeding.
