Effect of the Infusion of Conceptual Metaphor Theory on Non-English Majors' Vocabulary Acquisiton——An Empirical Study Based on Conceptual Metaphor Thery

Conceptual metaphor provides a new angle for second language acquisition especially for vocabulary acquisition.To explore the effect of the input of knowledge about conceptual metaphor on non-English majors' vocabulary acquisition,the research takes on sixty-two students as the sample to have a tentative experiment,the result of which justifies the positive effects of conceptual metaphor on vocabulary acquisition.The infusion of knowledge about conceptual metaphor facilitates learners' vocabulary retention and expansion,so as to develop learners' metaphorical thinking.
