Using Post Crown to Restore 80 Pills of Teeth with Crown and Root Fracture under Gingiva after Gingivoplasty

Objective: To avoid the affection of the injury to the healthy orth-teeth and the beauty because of the absorption of the alveolar bone after the teeth extraction,by remaining teeth with crown and root fracture under gingiva within 3 mm.Methods: Eighty pills of teeth with crown and root fracture under gingiva within 3 mm were treated with perfect root canal therapy,then with gingivoplasty.The surface of the root were exposed, and post crown were repaired 4 weeks later.Followed up 2.5 years,the resultes divided into anterior teeth and posterior teeth were discussed.Results: After 2.5 years,93.3% of 30 pills of anterior teeth and 88.8% of 50 pills of posterior teeth with crown and root fracture have got achievement after post crown restoration.Conclusion: After restoration the remaining root of the teeth with crown and root fracture,the teeth can regain normal masticatory function,avoid the injury to healthy orth-teeth,and the anterior teeth can better restore the beauty of the labial,and reduce the uncomfortable and economy burden because of fixed partial denture,removal partial denture and implanted supported denture restoration.
