Abstract

Objective:To summarize the experience on treatment of restoring residual root and crown of anterior and posterior teeth by post and core crown. Methods:The residual root and crown of 126 anterior and posterior teeth were received root canal therapy firstly, then the anterior teeth were adopted casting post and core or finished products root thread post, resin core, while the posterior teeth were adopted finished products root thread post, resin core,or porcelain-fused-to-metal or metal crown. Results:The 126 posterior and anterior teeth were reexamined after 12 months,120 teeth were achieved the success standard,6 teeth was failed. Conclusions:The residual root and crown of anterior and posterior teeth without significant periodontal destruction can be absolutely kept and maintained normal mastication function, furtherly can meet the requirement of beauty, when the anterior and posterior teeth were adopted casting post and core, finished products root thread post, resin core or porcelain-fused-to-metal or metal crown therapy.
