Clinical research of valsartan combined with enalapril in treatment of essential hypertension

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of valsartan combined with enalapril treatment of essential hy-pertension. Methods One hundred patients diagnosed of hospitalized patients with essential hypertension were ran-domly divided into experimental group and control group, 50 patients in each group, the control group were given enalapril treatment, the experimental group were treated by enalapril and valsartan for 4 weeks, the effect and the SBP, DBP changes were compared before and after treatment. Results There were 2 cases of no effect in experimental group, while 12 cases in control group, after treatment, the total effective rate of the experimental group was 96.0%,was significantly higher than the control group(76.0%)(P0.05); before treatment, the experimental group and control group of patients with SBP, DBP between the two groups, the difference was not statistically significant( P0.05). After treatment, the SBP levels of experimental group was(128.9±6.1) mmHg, significantly lower than the control group, levels of SBP was(135.8±7.4) mmHg, levels of DBP in the experimental group after treatment was(90.12 ±11.24) mmHg,significantly lower than the control group(97.06 ±12.52) mmHg, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Valsartan combined with enalapril in treatment of essential hypertension has significant effect, safety and its efficacy is superior to single drug efficacy, should be promoted and applied.
